The attractive design is the first thing you will notice about the 2016 Rio, which features smooth lines and a compact design that is perfect for a small family, couple, or single person. Designed in the European manner, it is very easy to see the influence with the clean style and feature-packed interior.

For the past five years, the Rio has been in production and very popular among consumers. One of the biggest selling points of the vehicle is the fact that it has excellent fuel economy, but that is something we will go into a bit later.

Under the hood it is packing a 1.6-liter engine that runs at 138 horsepower. Running smooth and quiet, there will be times you don't even notice that it is running as you drive through the streets of your city, or take a trip out to the countryside. Running from 0 to 60 miles per hour in the space of 10 seconds. Handling on the road is extremely good, which is important when driving a small car like the Rio. The ride is quite comfortable, which is a big plus considering it is a small car. Most small cars are bouncy and rough on certain roads that are not well-maintained. That is not the case with the Rio, which eliminates the bouncy aspects of drive in a small car.

As with anything to do with a vehicle, safety is incredibly important and the Rio provides an excellent set of safety features to keep you and your family safe inside the car. The IIHS has provides good safety scores to the Rio thanks to its dual front, side and side-curtain airbags, as well as stability control, hill-start assist, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth pairing for your phone. Anti-lock brakes are of course standard in all models of the Rio.

The features of the Rio are where it really stands out. The base model of the LX features several excellent features including 15-inch wheels, steering wheel controls, rear-seat folding, a spoiler, power windows and locks. The base model also includes keyless entry, a USB port and air conditioning. Moving up to the EX model, there is an Idle Stop and Go engine that provides increased fuel efficiency, as well as a rearview camera and a two-tone interior treatment of the vehicle's inside.

At the top level of the SX, there are 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, fog lamps, heated side mirrors that fold in, LED taillights, an infotainment setup, voice controls and more. Heated seats, leather upholstery and a sunroof are all included in the high model.

Lastly, you can expect excellent fuel economy with the Rio, which runs at a 36 miles per gallon combined on highway and in the city. Separately, it has 28 miles per gallon in the city and a fantastic 37 miles per gallon in the country while you are cruising down the highway.

The Rio is a small and compact car that can be perfect for the right person who doesn't need a lot of space but wants to save a lot of money on gas while driving around the city and the country.
