Winter is here and it’s here to stay. There is a lot to keep on your mind as the year comes to a close, but your car’s maintenance is one that you shouldn’t forget about. Your vehicle needs to be taken care of and doing so before the winter air really takes hold is a great idea. That is why we have created this list of tips on how to prepare your car for the winter. Tires 

Driving on worn tires during the winter is not a good idea. The roads are going to become more slippery and having tires that can grip the road is a great way to help you avoid an accident. Make sure to have your tires rotated or buy a new set this winter to stay in control. 

Battery 

Batteries have their energy sapped during the winter because of the cold air and when you have an old battery that can lead to a major problem. Most batteries only last 3 to 5 years, so you should replace it if its reaching 5 or more years old. 

Oil Change 

Changing your oil is just another part of car maintenance, right? Well in the winter, the sun starts to set earlier and a lot of people don’t want to take the time to have their car’s oil changed. Change your vehicle’s oil to help it perform at its best this winter.
